Bobby Deol has had many comebacks in the last few years but none of those worked quite like Animal. In Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film, Bobby played a small role that appeared on the screen for less than 15 minutes but left enough impact that the audience could not stop talking about him after the film. In his many interviews shortly after the release of the film, the actor spoke about his long wait for recognition and how this phase of his career has given him a lot more than he could have expected. Now, it seems like the reactions of Bobby's fame aren't just virtual. Recently, when Bobby was trying to exit the Mumbai airport without any security, he was mobbed by fans who wanted to get a selfie with him. Bobby could not stop smiling as he was loving the attention. Fans in the comment section suggested that Bobby should probably invest in hiring a security team now as that would help him in navigating crowds. Fans cheered for Bobby as they applauded his success. One of his fans wrote, "He deserves this." And another wrote, "It's good to see that❤️" Another one of his fans called his comeback in Animal "extraordinary" and said that actor appeared "humble" when surrounded by fans. His character is shows to have three wives in the film and in an earlier interview with Galatta Plus, Vanga explained why he chose for this character to be a Muslim. "I’ve seen people, when they enter a zone of zero confidence, people will come and say to them, ‘Go to a church, or go to a baba, he’ll give some taweez, change your name…’ I’ve seen people changing their religion because so much has happened to them. At a low point, they feel like it’s a new birth, it’s a change of identity completely… We see a lot of people converting to Islam and Christianity; we never see anybody converting to Hinduism. So, I thought I’ll use this, because you can get multiple wives in Islam. I can have multiple cousins with different faces; the drama will be bigger. That’s the only reason. There was no intention to show a Muslim in a bad light…" When Bobby was previously asked about the marital rape scene in the film, he told The Quint, "I'm not trying to promote anything. Yes, it was required. How do you showcase a character in such a short span, show what this man is capable of, what kind of person he is? All these scenes were required."
