‘Big mistake’: Amrapali Dubey on Pawan Singh touching Anjali Raghav inappropriately during a show, says a woman should call police
Pawan Singh touched Anjali Raghav on stage without her permission, and later issued an apology.

Pawan Singh was accused of inappropriately touching Anjali Raghav during an event in Lucknow and when the video of the incident was shared on social media, Pawan issued an apology. Now, Bhojpuri actor Amrapali Dubey has also spoken up about the incident and said that Anjali should have complained to Uttar Pradesh police right there and then. She also added that she did have a word with Pawan who admitted that this was a grave mistake.
In a chat with Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube channel, Amrapali said, “As a woman, I was feeling disgraced. No woman should have to go through this. Pawan Singh issued an apology afterwards and I felt like calling him up and asking him what happened but then I felt that I shouldn’t. I felt like giving a call to Anjali and telling her that you should work with decent people, and don’t judge everyone in the industry by one person’s actions.” Amrapali said that she did not call Anjali as she did not have her contact details.
She then added that Anjali should have complained to UP police right there. “This happened in Lucknow. Do you know UP police? They will take anyone to task. We have seen UP police in action. You should have complained there and then.” Amrapali said that if Pawan’s intentions were to remove a black spot from her waist, which he had since claimed, then he should have told Anjali’s staff. Or if he was going to do it himself, then he should have sought her permission.

“I can believe that his intentions weren’t bad. But you can’t claim that afterwards, you need to ask the woman before you touch her without her consent,” she said and added that she spoke to Pawan before he went for Rise and Fall. “I called him before he went on the show. I told him that before you share a stage with anyone, you should have a contract with them,” she said and when asked to explain the “contract”, she claimed she was being “sarcastic.” “Pawan said this was a big mistake. He said, ‘I shouldn’t have done it’.”
