Brothers Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurana have been part of showbiz for almost a decade. Before acting became their calling, they had auditioned for reality shows like Roadies and Channel V Pop Stars. In a video from 2003, which is currently making the rounds on the internet, Ayushmann and Aparshakti are seen standing in front of judges Palash Sen, Purab Kohli and Mehnaaz to give an audition. Ayushmann and Aparshakti were both students at that time. In the video, the siblings sing the song “Koi Kahe” from Aamir Khan’s 2001 movie Dil Chahta Hai. The clip also shows Ayushmann and Aparshakti all smiles upon learning that they have reached the final, and then the Dream Girl 2 actor reveals that he has an examination on the final day of the competition. The list included Neeti Mohan, Surveen Chawla, Manjari Phadnis, Mansi Parekh and Amit Tandon. Ayushmann Khurrana, who won the second season of reality show Roadies, made his acting debut with the 2012 film Vicky Donor. He went on to be part of successful Bollywood films such as Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Shubh Mangal Savdhan, Andhadhun and more recently, Dream Girl 2. In an interview with The Indian Express, Ayushmann had spoken about his upcoming projects. He said, “I’m going to experiment with a lot of genres in 2024. My slate of films will be extremely diverse, as always, and will focus solely on delivering quality theatrical experience to the audience. I’m currently locking some interesting films that one will love watching with the entire family in theaters.” Aparshakti Khurrana, on the other hand, made his acting debut with the 2016 film Dangal. He continued doing supporting roles in films such as Stree, Pati Patni Aur Woh and Street Dancer, until his 2023 web show Jubilee strengthened his foothold in the industry.
