Archana Puran Singh’s son Aaryamann recalls his fight with aggressive monkey in Mussoorie: ‘I bent forward said sorry’

Actors Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi are currently vacationing in Mussoorie with their sons, Aaryamann and Ayushmaan Sethi. Joining them on the trip is the newest addition to the family, Aaryamann’s fiancee, actress Yogita Bihani. For Archana, the trip is nostalgic since Mussoorie is where she grew up. But for Aaryamann, it stirred up some hilarious and slightly traumatic childhood memories involving monkeys.

Reminiscing with Yogita, Aaryamann shared one particular incident from his teenage years. “Once I was running here with my father when I came across a huge monkey. The moment it saw me, it got aggressive. I panicked but thought if I turned back, it might chase me, so I kept running straight. When I finally reached close, I just said: ‘Aye.’ That triggered him even more. He bared his teeth and I freaked out. I bent forward, folded my hands and kept saying, ‘Sorry, sorry, sorry.’ I was barely 14 or 15 then.”

Calling out for help, he screamed: “Papa, papa!” Parmeet rushed to him in alarm, only to ask, baffled, “Why did you go near him?” Since that day, Aaryamann admits, he has known that monkeys and he “cannot co-exist.”

He also recalled another memory that left a lasting mark on his childhood. “I must have been four or five when we came here to visit a deer park. I was carrying a packet of chips, happily munching away, when suddenly a monkey swooped in and snatched it. I cried so much. At that age, it felt traumatic like, ‘why would monkeys take my Lays?’” he laughed.

Aaryamann has recently started vlogging under the channel Aary Vlogs, after gaining popularity through appearances in his mother’s well-loved AAP Vlogs. Last month, he confirmed his relationship with Yogita Bihani, best known for The Kerala Story, and even proposed to her. The couple has since moved into a new bungalow in Madh Island, gifted by his parents.
