Archana Puran Singh and her husband, Parmeet Sethi, have tried all sorts of foods in their vlogs. The latest episode saw them going on a quest to find the best samosa in Mumbai. As usual, they visited three outlets, tasted the food available at them, and rated them out of 10. Archana and Parmeet were joined by their sons, Aaryamann and Ayushmaan. Much to Archana’s surprise, they’d never visited Grant Road in their lives. Ayushmaan even claimed that he’d never eaten a freshly made samosa in his life, and had only been eating microwaved samosas that he’d get at movie theatres.

The family’s first stop was A-1 Samosa, the restaurant that supplies samosas to several of Mumbai movie theatres. They were extremely impressed with the food, and all of them rated it highly. The next stop specialised in samosas of a Rajasthani style, and Archana particularly enjoyed the masala, while Parmeet felt that it wasn’t as good as a standard Punjabi samosa.

While tasting the food, Archana said that she always leaves the crusts for Parmeet when they share samosas, because she knows that he really likes them. “Whenever we go for movies, they have A-1 samosas there. I love the crusty bits, but I know that Parmeet loves them more, so I leave them for him. It’s our love for each other,” she said, as she reached over to hold Parmeet’s hand. Ayushmaan said, “Why do you guys lie for the camera?” Parmeet retorted, “If we were lying, you wouldn’t be here.”

In a recent interview with SCREEN, Parmeet addressed appearing on Archana’s YouTube channel, and often being overshadowed by her. He said, “You need to understand the public. I at least have the understanding that the person who is working more, seen more, is eventually recognised more. That is a given. Archana is the judge of India’s biggest show (The Great Indian Kapil Show). So its obvious that people will know her more.”
