Arbaaz Khan recalls dad Salim Khan slapping ‘brat’ Salman Khan for attempting circus-like stunts as a child: ‘Everybody was worried about him”

Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan recalled some childhood anecdotes about their brother Salman Khan, and said that their father was very worried about him.

Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan recently took a trip down memory lane and recounted childhood experiences with their brother, Salman Khan. Arbaaz revealed how Salman was a ‘brat’ growing up, and would frequently get into trouble with their father, veteran writer Salim Khan. Sohail said that Salman approached life with a ‘nothing is impossible’ mindset, which was a source of concern for their dad.

On the podcast Timeout with Ankit, Arbaaz said, “Salman was older, he was the naughty one. He used to get yelled at by dad, halki-phulki maar bhi kha leta tha (He’d get smacked around a bit also). We escaped, but Salman was a little bit of brat.”

Narrating a funny story, he said, “Dad took Salman to see a trapeze show at the circus, and when they came back, he noticed a building with a rod. He sneakily went there and tried to do some stunts, and he fell and broke his hand. He came to show us his hand, saying ‘Yeh dekho mere saath kya ho gaya (Look what happened).’ He thought he will get sympathy, but usko do jhappad mile (He got a whack), and dad said, ‘What was the need to do all this? Are you mad? Take him to a doctor.’”

Arbaaz added that Salman is incredibly focused, and firmly believes that he can achieve anything he sets his mind to. Whether it’s learning skating, cycling, gymnastics, or cricket, he puts in the time and effort to master every skill. He added, “Growing up, everybody was worried about Salman. But look at destiny, he became a star at 24 or 25.”

Sohail also opened up about Salman, and said, “I think as a father, he was very concerned regarding Salman bhai because bhai thought nothing was impossible for him. He didn’t look at anything as if it couldn’t be done. If you could think about it, if it’s there in your head, you can probably figure it out.”

Salman was recently seen in the film Tiger 3, opposite Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi.
