Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s 2017 wedding in Italy was a closed-knit affair but as soon as the photos from the wedding were shared online, fans couldn’t stop gushing at the wedding shots that have since become the template for the many weddings that followed theirs. In a recent chat, the photographer Joseph Radhik and videographer Vishal Punjabi shared some details about their wedding.

Joseph revealed that the temperature in Tuscany at that time was minus 2 degree celsius and said that “people had not seen a bride and groom be so normal at their wedding.” Speaking about the negative comments that attacked the beautiful wedding photos, he said, “You see that it’s a beautiful photo and a bunch of negative comments will come along, you ignore them. People are not used to seeing real things that’s my honest opinion.”

Vishal Punjabi of The Wedding Filmer said that the couple never shared their wedding trailer with the world because they did not want to entertain any “hateful comments.” On the couple’s first wedding anniversary, Anushka shared a small teaser from their wedding. “Virat and Anushka’s one minute teaser, that she put out for everyone to see, was put out a year after. No one’s ever seen her real trailer apart from a few people who were there at the wedding,” he said.

He added that Virat found the trailer to be the “best film” he has ever seen. “I asked Virat and he said ‘personally, I love your video, and I think it’s the best film I have ever seen but I would never want to share this with the world’. And he explained to me why… and his manager was showing me some of the hate that people get and its really hateful. And you wouldn’t want that to be said about your work or something you have created so I’m happy that it’s not online, happy that nobody ever gets to see it. I’m happy that these films are so personal,” he said.

Virat and Anushka’s wedding was a hush-hush affair and not many people knew about the details of their wedding until the couple announced it themselves.
