Anusha Dandekar says she underwent surgery for ovarian lump: ‘The recovery has been pretty intense’

Anusha Dandekar shared that she has been visiting her gynaecologist every year and that is what helped in her diagnosis at the right time.

Former VJ and actor Anusha Dandekar opened up about undergoing surgery for a lump in her ovary. She revealed how it was an ‘intense’ process and she is still recovering from it. Anusha also thanked people who stood by her during the difficult and constantly checked on her while she was in the hospital.

Sharing a photo of herself on Instagram, Anusha wrote, “Just popping in to say hello…Quick story: went through a surgery for a lump in my ovary, the recovery has been pretty intense but also I’m really lucky all was okay… found a few more lumps while they were there, again super lucky everything Is great now… 🧿✨”

The VJ-actor shared that she has been visiting her gynaecologist every year and that is what helped in her diagnosis at the right time. Anusha also advised girls to visit their gynaecologist every year.

She added, “Just wanted to tell all the girls that are here reading this, to make sure you visit your Gynaecologist once a year without fail to stay ahead of your health and safety, I’ve been doing that since I was 17 and that’s how I can be so grateful I’m recovering well today.”

Expressing her gratitude towards her doctor and her near and dear ones, Anusha concluded, “Thankyou to @drshwetaraje and her incredible team @womens.hospital for making me feel so safe and comfortable. Thankyou for everyone that came to the hospital and called and msgd constantly, you know who you are and I’m forever grateful to have you in my life❤️ Still have a few weeks of full recovery ahead of me but it felt so good to walk outside today! Grateful beyond. 🙏🏼 Love you, Anusha xoxo.”

As Anusha shared her health update, she got many best wishes from her friends and colleagues. Jennifer Winget commented on her post saying, “Sending lots of love baby! ❤️❤️.” Shamita Shetty wrote, “Get well soon darling ❤️❤️❤️.” Rhea Chakraborty left heart emojis on her post.

Anusha Dandekar has been a popular name among video jockeys. She has hosted shows like MTV Dance Crew, MTV Teen Diva and India’s Next Top Model. She also hosted MTV Love School with her former boyfriend Karan Kundrra.
