Animal box-office collection day 2 early report: The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles.

Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal has taken the box office by storm, beating Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan in terms of opening day collections worldwide and in Indai. After minting Rs 63.80 crore on its first day of release, Animal is all set for an even bigger second day. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s crime epic has already raked in Rs 30 crore (as of 4:30 pm) on Saturday. The portal has predicted that the film might mint a total of Rs 66 crore on the second day across all languages in India. Animal had an overall 57.05 percent Hindi occupancy on Saturday, as of late afternoon.
Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to social media to highlight the strong performance of Animal in terms of second-day advance bookings in India. According to his post, Animal secured the highest second-day bookings when compared to films like Jawan and Leo. Animal leads the chart with Rs 29 crore in day two advance sales, followed by Jawan with Rs 22 crore, and Leo with Rs 20 crore. Bala wrote on X, “Animal North America Gross $2.5 Million & Counting. Setting box office on fire. Highest grossing Hindi film on Day 1.”
On day one, Animal earned Rs 116 crore globally, surpassing SRKs Pathaan, which made Rs 104.80 crore worldwide on the opening day. However, it’s uncertain if Animal can beat Pathaan’s second-day collections. Pathaan made Rs 70.50 crore on day two, while SRK’s Jawan earned Rs 63.50 crores on its second day following a Rs 75 crore opening day haul.
Animal also stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles. The film has opened to mixed reviews, with fans praising Ranbir Kapoor’s performance in the film, but criticising Vanga’s controversial storytelling. The film clashed with Sam Bahadur at the box office. Directed by Meghana Gulzar and starring Vicky Kaushal, the biopic managed to mint Rs 5.50 crores on the opening day.
