Ananya Panday admits that she once called her boyfriend ’50-75 times’ because he didn’t pick up: ‘I don’t like giving people space’

Ananya Panday, during the promotions of her last release Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, described herself as a “psycho obsessive stalker girlfriend”, much like her character in the film. So when in a recent interview, Ananya was asked about the “most unhinged” thing she has done in a relationship, she recounted the time when she called her boyfriend “50-75 times” because he wasn’t taking her calls.

Speaking on No Filter Neha, she said, “My partner didn’t pick up the phone. I do end up calling between 50 to 75 times.” Neha asked her to refrain from naming her partner as they stayed silent for a minute. Ananya then continued, “I have a problem. I am the kind of person who needs a problem to be solved in that minute. I don’t like giving people space. It’s not a good habit.”

Ananya said that she can get over things really fast but likes to be “dramatic.” “I get over things really fast. Like I am howling for two hours and then I’m like ‘Hey, I’m fine now. I just had to be dramatic but I’m fine now,” Ananya said with a laugh and told her fans to never do what she did. “Don’t call someone 50 times because they will put their phone on airplane mode and it won’t be fun,” she said.

Ananya then said that her sister Rysa has taught her a hack for the times when she wants to vent out. Rysa suggested that Ananya should change Rysa’s name on her phone to her partner’s name, vent out as much as she wants so she gets the anger out of her system but hasn’t really said anything nasty to her partner. Ananya is rumoured to be in a relationship with Aditya Roy Kapur.

Ananya will next be seen in Vikramaditya Motwane’s cyber thriller and her Amazon Prime Video series Call Me Bae.
