Amid backlash for Ranbir Kapoor’s lipstick remark, Alia Bhatt’s mother Soni Razdan shares cryptic note about ‘cancel culture’: ‘Funny times…’

In the video for Vogue, Alia was explaining a make-up hack and said,  “After applying the lipstick, I rub it off because one thing my husband, who was also my boyfriend, when we go out at night, he’s like ‘wipe that off’ because he loves the natural colour of my lips.” The revelation attracted a lot of negative attention with people calling Ranbir ‘toxic’.

This is not the first time Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have faced backlash from the public. Earlier in an interview with Vice, Alia had revealed that Ranbir does not like it when she raises her voice. She said, “I have to try very hard to control my anger because my husband does not like when my voice goes above this decibel. Because he thinks it’s not fair and it’s important to be kind even when you are unhappy.”

On the work front, Alia was recently seen in the blockbuster film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani, opposite Ranveer Singh. The movie was helmed by Karan Johar and also starred veteran actors Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi.
