Alia Bhatt makes it to TIME’s 100 most influential people of 2024 list, director Tom Harper calls her a ‘truly international star’

Tom also wrote about Alia’s “superpower” as an actor and wrote, “Alia’s superpower is her ability to mix movie-star magnetism with authenticity and sensitivity. As an actor she is luminous, and as a person she brings the grounded assurance and creativity that make a truly international star.”

Alia shared the announcement on her Instagram profile and wrote, “Honoured to be a part of the #TIME100 @time 🫶 Thank you dearest #TomHarper for your kind kind words 💫♥️✨☀️”

Alia Bhatt has been on a hit spree since 2022’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. The film released shortly after the pandemic restrictions were lifted in India and was one of the few successes of the year. After that, Alia was seen in Darlings and Brahmastra. While one film got her critical acclaim, as it released on Netflix, the other, which also starred her husband Ranbir Kapoor, got her commercial success. Last year, Alia was seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani which fetched her many Best Actress awards. She also made her Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone, which saw her in a supporting role with Gal Gadot.

Alia will next be seen in Vasan Bala’s Jigra, which also stars Vedang Raina. She will also be leading a film in YRF’s ‘Spyverse’. Alia is also a part of Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa, with Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif.
