Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force sheds light on India’s first and deadliest airstrike; release date unveiled

Set against the backdrop of the 1965 India-Pakistan Air War, the makers of Sky Force have the film as an untold, true story that vividly portrays the bravery, emotions, and unwavering patriotism of the courageous men in uniform who participated in India’s first and deadliest airstrike against Pakistan, overcoming formidable challenges in the process.

Sharing a 55-second announcement video, Jio Studios and Maddock Films urged all movie enthusiasts to save the date of October 2, 2024, which they referred to as ‘Gandhi-Shastri’ Jayanti, for the global premiere of the film. The movie’s makers enthusiastically exclaimed, “Get ready to witness history like never before.”

The promo video begins with a voiceover from a person identified as Pakistan’s President at the time, Muhammad Ayub Khan, issuing a cautionary message to India. Following this, the video swiftly transitions to a clip featuring India’s then Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, responding with determination, emphasising that the nation harbours no fear of anyone.

Helmed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur, the Akshay Kumar-starrer will also feature debutant Veer Pahariya in a prominent role. Bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande, Stree and Bhediya helmer Amar Kaushik is also a part of the project as a creative producer.
