Akshay Kumar, who has spent nearly 35 years in Bollywood, is widely known as one of the most disciplined and productive actors in the industry. Unlike many of his peers, he avoids late-night parties, goes to bed by 9 pm, follows a strict diet, and begins his day at 4 am—a routine he has maintained for years. With multiple film releases almost every year, fans often assume he never takes a break. However, Akshay recently revealed that he actually takes off one-third of the year—about 125 days.

The actor shared this on the finale episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show (Season 3), where he addressed the popular myth. “I do take a break. I take 125 days’ leave in a year,” he admitted.

Breaking it down, Akshay explained: “This includes 52 Sundays, 40 days of summer vacation, 12 days off during Christmas, and 3 days during Diwali. I also make it a point to take a 7-day break after every three months.”

He revealed that he has created a personal timetable and strictly follows it, which helps him balance work and life. “We all have the same 24 hours in a day and 365 days in a year. The most important thing in life is time management. I’m not here to lecture anyone, but I will leave you with one word to reflect on—simplicity. Don’t complicate life. Don’t take stress. Stress is extremely harmful,” he said.

Reflecting on his humble beginnings, Akshay added: “I know some people face financial problems while others struggle in relationships. I used to live in a small bedroom shared by 24 people. But the key is to simplify your life. God has sent you on Earth to enjoy it, because Earth itself is nothing but heaven.”

On the work front, Akshay Kumar recently featured in Subhash Kapoor’s Jolly LLB 3 alongside Arshad Warsi. The film has already earned over Rs 65 crore within just five days of release. It also marks Akshay’s fifth release in 2025, following Sky Force, Kesari Chapter 2, Housefull 5, and Kannappa.
