Akshay Kumar kept calling Shreyas Talpade’s wife after actor’s near-fatal heart attack: ‘I just want to see him’
Shreyas Talpade's wife Deepti Talpade said that Ahmed Khan and his wife visited her in the hospital on the day Shreyas suffered a heart attack, while Akshay Kumar wanted to shift him to a better hospital.

Actor Shreyas Talpade, who recently experienced a near-fatal heart attack, has opened up about how the Hindi and Marathi film industry stood behind them in those tough times. His wife Deepti Talpade revealed how Akshay Kumar kept calling her to enquire about Shreyas’ health and insisted on shifting him to a better hospital. Deepti said that filmmaker Ahmed Khan and his wife also visited the hospital at night.
On ABP’s Majha Katta, Deepti said, “When the news broke out, Shreyas’ director Ahmed Khan and his wife came to the hospital at 11 pm at night. They were with me. Akshay Kumar, you know he kept calling me and asked, ‘Deepti should we shift him? You tell, we will shift him to a different hospital.’ He again called me in the morning and said, ‘let me please see him for two minutes. I just want to see him.’ I said, ‘you can come whenever you want.’ Hindi and Marathi film industry was there that day for us.”
Shreyas added, “The way they stood behind us, it was phenomenal.” In an interview with TOI, Shreyas had previously revealed that he was ‘clinically dead’ after the cardiac arrest and added that this was his second chance at life.
