Ajay Devgn took to Twitter to announce the release date of Radhika Apte-starrer Parched, which is made under his production house.
Actor-filmmaker Ajay Devgn’s upcoming production, Parched, starring Radhika Apte in the role, will hit theatres on September 23. The film’s trailer will be out on September 9.
Ajay took to twitter to announce the details of the film. He wrote: Presenting PARCHED…18Awards, 24 Intl. film festivals across continents. Releasing 23rd Sep Trailer on 9th Sep.
Yes! The film has already won 18 awards and thus is expected to be a promising one. It has been to Indian Film Festival of Melborune and Toronto International Film Festival.
The film, directed by Leena Yadav, is set in the heart of parched rural landscape of Gujarat, India. It traces the bittersweet tale of four ordinary women Rani, Lajjo, Bijli and Janaki.
The Adil Hussain and Radhika Apte-starrer was in news after a love-making scene from the film was leaked on the internet. The said scene, which shows Adil and Radhika both topless making love, was leaked a couple of days back by culprits who are yet to be identified.

Talking to indianexpress.com about the same, Adil then said, “I learnt about it yesterday from Google alert and it felt bizarre in the beginning. In fact, it felt very weird. It shows how sexually obsessed a lot of people in our society are. You leak only the sex scene and no other beautiful scenes from the film. It only shows that we are extremely obsessed about sex and yet we don’t want to talk about it. We shun it, shove it under the carpet and don’t want to show it to people.”
Pointing out how the video has been titled ‘Radhika Apte sex scene’ instead of ‘Adil Hussain sex scene’, the actor highlighted the patriarchal mindset that is prevalent in Indian society.
