In keeping with past Cannes appearance, film-maker Anurag Kashyap flaunted a cool pair of shades from his upcoming film at the French film festival this year. Anurag was at Cannes with his film Raman Raghav 2.0, under the director fortnight category.

The director, as well as members from the film’s cast — Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vicky Kaushal — all flaunted unique sunglasses, symbolising the fact that ‘someone is constantly watching you’, which is also the undercurrent theme of his upcoming film, as has been conveyed through the film’s trailer.

This is not the first time Anurag has sported a prop from his movies. Three years back, Anurag had participated in the festival with his film, Gangs of Wasseypur. At the time, the 43-year-old director sported a ‘gamcha’ from the movie, which had become a trademark of sorts for the cast.

This year, it was great to see the entire cast getting clicked in these unique pair of sunglasses. The movie’s producers have also turned these quirky glasses into film merchandise, which has generated quite a buzz.

At the premiere screening of Raman Raghav 2.0, the film received phenomenal feedback and a standing ovation. Nawazuddin’s performance was also appreciatively singled out by the audience.

The film will hit theaters on June 24.
