Aditi Rao Hydari reveals how Siddharth proposed to her: ‘He got down on his knees and I asked him…’

“He got down on his knee and I asked him, ‘Now what have you lost? Whose shoelaces are open?’ He kept saying, ‘Addu, listen to me.’ And then he proposed. He said he wanted to bring me to my favourite childhood place, one with my grandmother’s blessings,” she added.

Aditi Rao Hydari also recalled her first meeting and interaction with Siddharth. The couple met on the sets of the 2021 film Maha Samudram. “He walked in and said, ‘Hello, beautiful girl.’ Usually, when someone says something like this, it does not work. But it was being genuine. By the end of the day, he had me and pretty much everyone on the set in splits. He also ensured that my team and I had ghee idlis whipped up by his cook every day for the rest of the shoot.”

Aditi, who claims to instantly know if someone is her person, added, “When I met Siddhu, that’s what I felt and had no doubt about it. Of course, there is a process of growing together in a relationship but I had none of that going on in my mind when I met him, it was all about that moment.”

Siddharth too shared his view on the relationship, and said, “You grow up with many hopes and dreams for how things will be and over time, you grow as a person, and you begin to see your shortcomings. And then to find my fully formed self being loved by her… well, it was very reassuring that it was possible to find love like this.”

Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth had sparked dating rumours with their several outings together after their film Maha Samudrum. The couple, last year, announced their engagement. Ever since, they have been spotted together on many occasions.
