Actors Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth recently attended the It's Glowtime event in Cupertino, California, where Apple launched some new products and announced their many new features. Post the event, Aditi and Siddharth shared a chat with the CEO of the company Tim Cook. Talking to The Indian Express, Aditi and Siddharth shared their experience of the event and spoke about democratisation in cinema because of easily accessible technology. When asked about their chat with Tim, Aditi said, "He is so warm and so kind and it shows in anything that he does. There is so much sensitivity in everything. It's not just user friendly, it's thinking about what your consumer wants and actually caring for them and I find that incredible." Siddharth spoke about the new announcements made at the event and said, "For me, as a filmmaker, the 4K 120 fps, kind of integrating multi track recording and voice memos, all of those things are taking production software and giving it to the user in a cellphone which is just unheard of." When asked about the democratisation of technology because of products like this, Siddharth said that when he started his career, filmmaking was restricted to a small section of people but that isn't the case today. "When I started off in the business, the barriers to entry in the business were insurmountable. Today, there is no excuse for not making a film. Making a good film or bad film is subjective, but there is no excuse for someone to not make a film because all the tools are available to the regular cellphone buying consumer," he said and added, "It's amazing when individuals are empowered to create." Aditi Rao Hydari also spoke about the same and said that she never learnt filmmaking officially but technology like this gives her a chance to learn. "It's empowering the individual artiste and I find that really incredible and it's also a learning. Because for me, I never learnt filmmaking but when you see this and you see it given to you to literally play with and to learn, it also makes you grow as an artiste in that you are then able to be a part of the process yourself to be more inclusive in the process of filmmaking," she said.
