‘Jai Shri Ram’: New Adipurush motion posters present lyrical ode to Prabhas’ Lord Ram

The newly released motion poster of Adipurush features Prabhas as Lord Ram, with a reverberating lyrical audio clip of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in five different languages – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.

The makers of Adipurush on Saturday released new motion posters of the film, featuring Prabhas as Lord Ram. The lyrical motion posters present a reverberating audio clip of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in five different languages – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. The motion poster features the Baahubali star, holding a bow and arrow. The audio clip complementing the poster is composed by music composer duo Ajay-Atul, of Sairat fame.

The multilingual mythological epic, which is being touted as a celebration of “the victory of good over evil”, is an adaptation of the Hindu epic Ramayana. It features Prabhas as Lord Ram and Saif as Lankesh. The film will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place each spring in New York City, USA.

Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush was originally scheduled to release in January this year, but will now hit theatres on June 16. According to the makers, “The film carries forward the virtue of Prabhu Shri Ram that entails dharma, courage and sacrifice.”

Speaking about the period drama, Raut had said in an earlier media statement, “Adipurush is not a film, but a representation of our devotion to Prabhu Sri Ram and commitment towards our sanskriti and history. In order to give a complete visual experience to the viewers, we need to give more time to the teams working on the film. Adipurush will now release on June 16, 2023. We are committed to make a film that India is proud of. Your support, love and blessings is what keeps us going.”

Apart from Prabhas, Adipurush also stars Sunny Singh, and Kriti Sanon in pivotal roles. The film is produced by T- Series, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles.

However, Tunisia's National Guard spokesman told Mosaique FM radio that reports of a drone attack on the flotilla "have no basis in truth".
