Adipurush box office collection day 7: Prabhas-starrer is an epic-fail, collects only Rs 3.15 crore in Hindi despite slashing ticket prices
Adipurush box office collection day 7: Despite slashed its ticket prices and altered dialogues, the Prabhas-starrer has not been able to generate the kind of box office response that the makers had expected.

Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, had a historic start at the Indian box office over the weekend, but immediately afterwards, the film went into a free fall. And now, even after ticket prices were slashed to Rs 150 and changes were made to controversial portions, the film has not been able to see a uptick in collections. On the seventh day of release, the Prabhas-starrer could only manage to earn Rs 5.5 crore across all languages, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.
The Hindi collections, which were Rs 3.8 crore on the sixth day, have further dropped down to Rs 3.15 crore. As per the publication, the Hindi occupancy on Thursday was 10.17%. The film’s nett domestic collection now stands at Rs 260.55 crore. This makes Adipurush the second-highest earner of the year so far. Previously, this spot was held by The Kerala Story, which earned Rs 241.95 crore nett domestically during its entire run, as per Bollywood Hungama. The top spot is still held by Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan which made Rs 543.05 crore in the domestic market.
As per trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, Adipurush’s nett worldwide collection after seven days in theatres stands at Rs 370. 15 crore.
After six days, T-Series on Thursday claimed that the film had grossed Rs 410 crore worldwide. The film was reportedly made on a budget of over Rs 500 crore.
Adipurush’s dialogues and visual effects received criticism as soon as the film landed in theatres. While the makers have revised a few objectionable dialogues, and even slashed ticket prices, the performance of the film hasn’t improved at the box office. On Friday, the ticket prices will stay at Rs 150 for the 3D version, with extra cost for the glasses.
1920: Horrors of the Heart is the only Hindi theatrical release on June 23. So by all measures, Adipurush has a clear shot at turning the tide this weekend. Adipurush also stars Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh, Devdatta Nage in pivotal roles.
