Adah Sharma’s mobile number leaked online: ‘Shows perverse mentality of a person who would stoop so low’

The phone number of actor Adah Sharma, who was recently seen in the controversial film The Kerala Story, has been leaked online along with her morphed images. The actor, who is planning to take the legal route, said that she became aware of the situation when she started receiving an overwhelming number of calls and messages, including several threatening ones.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Adah, who is now in the process of changing her contact number, said, “I feel just like any other girl would feel with her number being leaked out with morphed images. It shows the perverse mentality of a person who would stoop so low and get joy doing this. It reminds me of a scene in The Kerala Story where a girl is bullied by publicly publishing her number.” 

The actor added, “The person who leaked it has been up to some other activities too for a long time that cops have found out so me having to change my number is a small price to pay to have this person be behind bars.”

Adah also met Union minister Nitin Gadkari along with the film’s producer Vipul Shaha and the rest of the team.

The film revolves around three women who were allegedly forcefully converted to Islam and recruited by the terrorist organization ISIS. Helmed by Sudipto Sen, The Kerala Story faced criticism from politicians, actors, and the audience, who considered it to be a work of propaganda. Despite the controversy, the film achieved financial success, grossing Rs 210 crores at the box office.
