Aamir Khan met Samay Raina for a game of chess and the stand up comedian lost the game. He shared a video of the same on his social media.

Aamir Khan has been promoting his latest film Sitaare Zameen Par aggressively for the past few weeks and now, Samay Raina, who is best known for his YouTube reality show India’s Got Latent, has shared a clip on his social media where he played chess with the star. Samay started streaming his chess content during the pandemic and since then, he has become quite popular for his chess streams, which have stopped since his show ran into controversy. Aamir, too, is known to be quite competitive when it comes to chess and his co-stars have previously said that he plays chess really well.

In the short clip shared by Samay Raina, Aamir Khan said that he wants the videographers to record everything, “Record karo. Maar raha hu isse. Adha ghanta khelenge hum log. (Record this. He will lose. We will just play for half an hour.)” As Samay made a bad move, Aamir told him, “Gadbad kar di tune mere dost. (You have made a mistake, my friend.)” As Samay deciphered Aamir’s move, the actor said, “Abhi itna kacha bhi nahi hun bhai. (I am not that amateur.)”

Later in the video, when it looked like Aamir Khan might win, Samay Raina tried to distract him with a joke but the actor promptly said, “Sun abhi confuse nahi karna. (Don’t confuse me now)” As Aamir eventually won, he told Samay, “Aamir Khan se haara hai, khush hona chahiye tereko. (You should be happy that you lost to Aamir Khan.)“ Samay had a prompt response to this as he said, “Koi nahi sir. Kabhi kabhi Laal Singh Chaddha bhi ho jata hai. (That’s okay sir. Sometimes it’s like Laal Singh Chaddha.)” After winning, as Aamir walked out, he told Samay, “Tu daalega yeh, make sure that he puts it.”

Samay Raina was on an upward trajectory when his show India’s Got Latent got into a controversy after one of the episodes, also featuring Ranveer Allahabadia, Apoorva Mukhija, and a few others, led to many outfits filing FIRs against them. The panel participating on the show were booked for using obscene language and soon after Samay deleted all the episodes of his show from YouTube. His stand-up comedy shows across India were cancelled after that. Samay is currently touring in the UK with his comedy show.
