Abdu Rozik performs with AR Rahman in Pune: ‘Thank you for giving me this chance’

Internet sensation and Bigg Boss 16 fame Abdu Rozik took to his Instagram handle and shared a picture with legendary musician AR Rahman. Rozik, who performed with Rahman at a concert in Pune on Sunday, called it an ‘honour’ and thanked the Oscar-winning musician.

Sharing the picture, Rozik wrote, “What an honor and privilege to perform with legend @arrahman last night in Pune. Thank you for giving me this chance and to your family and amazing team.” AR Rahman’s daughter Khatija Rahman commented on the post, “You deserve the best for your good heart Abdu. More than anything you’re just a beautiful human with a kind heart. Keep going. Everyone loves you.” The musician’s son AR Ameen dropped a red heart emoticon.

During AR Rahman’s concert, a police officer from Pune interrupted the maestro and brought his performance to a halt. In a video doing rounds on the internet, a police officer was seen walking on the stage and asking the musician and his team to stop the performance.

According to PTI, Santosh Patil, the officer who interrupted the show, said, “As the deadline of 10 pm had passed, we asked him (Rahman) and other artistes to stop the show. They followed the instructions and stopped the show.”

AR Rahman on Monday thanked the people of Pune and wrote, “Was such a roller coaster concert! No wonder Pune is home to so much classical music! We shall be back soon to sing with you all again.”
