Aayush Sharma says wife Arpita Khan, Salman Khan’s sister, is constantly trolled for her weight, skin colour: ‘I am asked why don’t you take her to gym’

Aayush Sharma shared that his wife Arpita Khan's priorities have shifted, and she now prefers spending time at home with their kids rather than going out partying.

Aayush Sharma criticised those trolling wife Arpita Khan for her looks and body, and added that he is proud of her for not letting the negativity affect her. Aayush mentioned that Arpita lives life her way, and now that her priorities have shifted, she doesn’t pay attention to people’s opinions or remarks about her weight or color.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Aayush said, “Somewhere down the line, my personal life has been the talk of town ever since I got married. A lot of people give their opinion about her weight. The people close to me know that she is with Ahil and Ayat the whole day. She doesn’t have a nanny or anyone else helping. Unhone khud bada kiya hai unko.”

The actor continued, “Her obsession was to become a good mother and not a socialite. She never attends 10 parties. The Arpita that used to party before having kids, has now changed. She wants to spend time at home with her kids, take care of them. She says ‘Agar humare bacche nannies ke saath bade ho rahe hai, toh unki parvarish kaise hogi (Don’t want nannies to bring up our kids)? So she takes them everywhere with her. I am here because she is taking care of our kids there.”

He added, “When your obsession is your kids, you forget about all the other things. This happens to me. When I am with my kids, I don’t think about how my hair is looking or how my body is looking. Because our focus is only kids.”

Aayush said that Arpita doesn’t wait or care for anyone’s approval and added, “Her attitude is commendable. People also make fun of her color. She says ‘Mujhe bachpan se log kali kali karte aare hai. Mujhe kuch farak nahi padta’ (People have been teasing me since childhood. I don’t care at all). A lot of people give opinions about her color and for her, it is something to be laughed off.”

He continued, “We sit here and say ‘black lives matter’ and we are making fun of our own people. It’s her color, nobody is forcing you to watch her. Whoever has a problem with her color or her weight, don’t look at her. No problem. She is happy with her existence and I am proud of her.”

The actor said that people even comment things like ‘why don’t you take her to the gym?’ Aayush said that it is completely Arpita’s choice and she doesn’t want to be in the limelight. Hence she is not bothered if she gets out without wearing makeup. The duo tied the knot in 2014 and are parents to son Ahil and daughter Ayat. Aayush is currently promoting his upcoming film Ruslaan.
