Jaswinder Singh Grewal, sarpanch of Gujjarwal village, told Indian Express that the production team of ‘Sultan’ was also at the village, hunting for right locations. Not only Sultan, a team from Ajay Devgn upcoming movie ‘Son of Sardar 2’ was also in the village recently and took photos of some locations.

Speaking to Indian Express, Grewal said, “The villagers are ecstatic that our village has all of sudden become the most preferred location for big Bollywood stars to shoot their movies. This will surely boost tourism in Gujjarwal and surrounding villages. However, it was not possible for us to allow the shoot of Sultan here as village is booked for Dangal shooting till next year. After completing one schedule of Dangal shoot, the team might return here for shoot after few months when Aamir loses weight. So till next August we cannot allow shoot of any other movie here.”

Based of real life story of Haryana-based wrestler Sultan Ali Khan, ‘Sultan’ director Ali Abbas Zafar recently shared photographs of famous Manakpur Shah Dargah and village Kila Raipur in Punjab.

Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ too is based on real life story of Haryana based wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and for the shoot villages in Ludhiana including Gujjarwal, Kila Raipur, Narangwal, Dango and Leel have been given a complete Haryanvi makeover.
