Aamir Khan is known as ‘Mr Perfectionist’ in the Indian film industry and recently, one of Aamir’s co-actors from Dangal shared that the star would rehearse each scene 120 times. Actor Shishir Sharma, who played a small role in Nitesh Towari’s Dangal, also said that Aamir brought a certain energy to the set that rubbed off on everyone, including the crew.

Shishir told Rajshri Unplugged that when they started the scene, Aamir took him aside. “He said, ‘You know Shishir, this is Haryanvi. Haryanvi does not come to everyone like the back of your hand. You need to practice it . You need to rehearse it.’ He used to rehearse each scene 120 times. I’m not joking. That is what Aamir Khan is all about,” he shared and added, “The professionalism he got onto set, the energy that he brought on to set rubbed on to everyone else around him including the people who were behind the camera.”

Shishir Sharma recalled that before him, his mother Shashi Sharma had worked with Aamir Khan in Talaash. When Shashi was working with him, she reminded the Lagaan actor that she had even worked with Aamir’s father in a play called Kabuliwala. “He got stumped. After the film, he sent 2-3 boxes of mangoes to our house,” Shishir shared. The actor reminded Aamir of this incident on the sets of Dangal and that proved to be an icebreaker of sorts between the two. “After that it was friends. There was professionalism on set but off the set… When you have people who call you by your first name, just goes to show that there is a certain amount of connection between the two,” Shishir shared.
