After taking a cheeky dig at filmmakers who promise innovation but eventually resort to an item song to “save” their films, Aamir Khan and Vir Das are back with yet another satirical video—this time poking fun at how producers often dominate directors and interfere in even the smallest creative decisions. The duo shared a new video announcing that the trailer of their upcoming film Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos will be released tomorrow. The clip features a hilarious banter between Aamir and Vir over whose version of the trailer will ultimately be unveiled.
The video opens with Aamir Khan meditating peacefully when Vir Das knocks and enters the room. Referring to their previous announcement video—where Aamir’s producer avatar turned aggressive towards first-time director Vir—Aamir declares, “I am a changed man now. I have found peace. I have even started meditating.”
He then reveals that he has a surprise for Vir and pulls out a pen drive, announcing confidently, “Happy Patel’s trailer. I have already made it.”
A visibly shocked Vir responds, “You made the trailer?” before adding, “Sir, even I have made a trailer for our film.”
Aamir shoots back, “You have made a trailer for MY film?”
“OUR film,” Vir quickly corrects him.
Laughing, Aamir responds, “That’s good. But it’s my trailer that will go up.”
Vir Das insists that the trailer should reflect the director’s vision. To this, Aamir Khan sarcastically agrees, saying, “You’re right! Director! Captain of the ship!”—before quickly adding, “But whose ship is it? Who’s the producer? Who’s the marketing genius?”

“You,” Vir replies.
“Exactly. So it’s my trailer that will go up,” Aamir concludes.
Taking a stand for young filmmakers, Vir Das argues, “This is a young, crazy film. It needs a young, crazy trailer.”
Aamir Khan, clearly offended, responds, “So you’re saying I’m not young?”
A flustered Vir quickly backtracks: “Of course you are, sir. I mean… you’re 62, but young. Young 62. Strong 62.”
Aamir then launches into an exaggerated monologue, declaring, “Do you know I’m a perfectionist? The entire world calls me that. Why?” He jokingly claims credit for editing Delhi Belly, designing all the costumes of Lagaan, singing every song in Secret Superstar, and even playing both Geeta and Babita Phogat in Dangal—before firmly stating that his version of the Happy Patel trailer will be released.
He adds with a grin, “And a small correction—my age is not 62. I’m 60.”
Much like the previous video, the banter ends with Aamir Khan once again turning aggressive. In the background, the song “Main Hoon Alpha Male” plays, hinting that the film may also take a sly dig at the recent “Animal culture” trend in cinema.
The trailer for Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos will be unveiled tomorrow, with the film slated for a worldwide release on January 16.
In their earlier announcement video, Aamir Khan and Vir Das used satire to establish that the film will be a quirky mix of comedy, action, and romance—complete with a special dance number performed by Vir himself.
