Aakhri Sach trailer: Tamannaah Bhatia plays dedicated cop who is trying to find the ‘missing element’ in case which shook the nation

Actor Tamannaah Bhatia is all set to play the role of a cop in the upcoming web series Aakhri Sach. Based on the spine-chilling case of the Burari deaths, the show will be released on Disney Plus Hotstar. The show also stars Abhishek Banerjee, Shivin Narang, Danish Iqbal, Nishu Dikshit, Kriti Vij and Sanjeev Chopra. Aakhri Sach is helmed by Robbie Grewal.

In the show, Tamannaah takes on the role of a dedicated cop whose focus is on finding the missing clue in the case. She aims to uncover the truth behind a shocking incident that had a huge impact on the entire country. The official synopsis read, “A bone chilling tale that unravels the most twisted ties of fate, trapped secrets of a family and terrifying horrors an investigator has ever seen.”

Talking about her role on the show, Tamannaah Bhatia said, “When Aakhri Sach came to me, it was a story that immediately shook my very core. This character is very special to me – firstly because it’s the first time ever I am playing a police officer in a long format and secondly, the emotional vulnerability of Anya that Aakhri Sach displays is like none other. Playing this sharp and fierce cop, really pushed me to embrace all the discomfort and perceptions that came with it and overcome them.”

Abhishek Banerjee added, “Aakhri Sach delves into the darkest corners of the human mind. The journey of bringing this character to life has been a complicated process that I was so excited to play from the very first time I got this script. I believe the audience will be spellbound by the raw emotions and thought-provoking revelations Aakhri Sach offers.”

The show will start streaming from August 25.
