Aadar Jain says he did ‘time-pass for 20 years’ but always loved Alekha Advani; Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Neetu Singh bring Punjabi flavour to mehendi

Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor‘s cousin, Aadar Jain, is getting married to his girlfriend Alekha Advani. Aadar Jain and Alekha Advani’s wedding celebrations began with a Mehendi ceremony held on Wednesday in Mumbai, and members of the Kapoor clan were spotted at the celebrations. Jaya Bachchan and Tina Ambani also attended the function. While the festivities were star-studded, Aadar’s speech for Alekha seems to have garnered the most attention. In his speech, Aadar appeared to disregard the last two decades of his love life. He began dating Alekha in 2023.

During the ceremony, Aadar said in his speech, “I have always loved her, and I have always wanted to be with her, but never got a chance to be with her. So, she sent me on this long journey of 20 years to do time-pass. But at the end of the day, it was worth the wait because I get to marry this beautiful, beautiful woman, who looks like a dream.” He later turned towards Alekha and said, “I love you, and it was worth the wait. It’s a secret, I have always loved her. I have done time-pass for 20 years of my life. But now I’m with you, baby.”

A few inside pictures from the Mehendi ceremony also are making rounds on social media. They show Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tina Ambani, Neetu Kapoor, and others enjoying the celebrations. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were also seen at the function with Soni Razdan. Videos showed the family dancing to Punjabi numbers.

In 2024, Aadar proposed to Alekha. The two have been close friends for many years. The couple had a pre-wedding celebration with family and friends in Goa earlier this year.  Aadar Jain is Raj Kapoor’s daughter Rima Jain’s son, and Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor’s nephew.
