WBBSE Madhyamik Result 2024 Live Updates: Collect WB board Class 10 pass certificate, marksheet from schools

Among the candidates from Kolkata, Somdatta Samanta of Kamala Girls School was among the top 10, securing 684 marks (97.71 per cent). Samanta was among 18 candidates who scored the same marks and secured the 10th rank.

Samyapriyo Guru of Purulia Zilla School scored 692 marks (98.86 per cent), securing the second rank. The third position was shared by three people -- Udayan Prasad of Balurghat High School, Puspita Basuri of New Integrated Government School (Ilambazar) and Nairit Ranjan Pal of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission – who scored 691 marks (98.71 per cent) each.

The pass percentage in WB Class 10 exam has improved marginally. The pass percentage has improved from 86.15 per centlast year to 86.31 per cent this year.

The students who appeared for the WB board Class 10 exams this year can collect the mark sheets and pass certificates from the respective schools.

West Bengal Class 10 board result link is active now on wbresults.nic.in. The students will have to key in their roll numbers and date of birth to download and check the marks online.

The WB board has set up 49 camp offices to distribute Class 10 result marksheets and pass certificates. Schools can collect West Bengal Class 10 result marksheets and certificates now from their respective camp offices.

2. Next, navigate to the WBBSE Class 10 (Madhyamik) result link.
3. On the next window, enter roll number, date of birth. 
4. Check and download your WB Class 10 result. 

South Dinajpur's Udayan Prasad, Birbhum's Pushpita Basuri and South 24 Pargana's Nairit Ranjan Pal have shared the third spot in WB Class 10 exam. They have scored 691 marks (98.71 per cent).

Kalimpong district is the top-performing district. 96.26 per cent students have passed from Kalimpong followed by East Medinipur (94.49%) and Kolkata.

Chandrachud Sen from Cooch Behar Rambhola High School in Cooch Behar district in north Bengal has topped the exam after scoring 693 marks (99 per cent). 'I am very happy with the result. I want to study science and become a doctor. I thank my parents and teachers for their support,' said the WB Madhyamik 2024 topper said.

As many as 1,18,411 students score over 60 per cent marks (12.98 per cent). Out of which, 9,961 students got AA grads, as many as 24,643 scored A+ grade and 83,807 have obtained A grade.

A total of 57 candidates are in the top ten merit list. Of them, as many as eight candidates are from South 24 Parganas district, seven students each from South Dinajpur, East Burdwan and East Midnapore districts, four each from Bankura, Malda and West Midnapore districts and three from Birbhum district, among others.

Only one student has topped Class 10 madhyamik exam from Kolkata. The pass percentage of Kolkata this year is 91.6 per cent.

As many as 1,18,411 students get 65 per cent and above marks.

As many as 57 students are in the WB result merit list. The topper list includes one student at rank 1, one student at rank 2, 3 student at rank 2, one student at rank 4 and 5. Rank 10 has been shared by 18 students. 

The pass percentage this year has improved. Last year, it was 86.15 per cent.

The highest pass percent is from Kalimpong district 96.26 per cent.

The overall pass percentage this year is 86.31 per cent. Of the total of 9,12,598 students appeared for the exams which include 4,03,900 boys and 5,08,698 girls, as many as 7,64,252 students passed

Of the 9,23,636 enrolled students including external students, as many as 9,12,598 appeared.

WB Class 10 Board has set up sub-division-wise camp offices to distribute the WB Class 10 marksheet and certificates. Schools will be able to collect West Bengal board madhyamik marksheet and pass certificates of their students from their respective camp offices from 10 am today.

The press conference to declare the WB Class 10 results will begin in 20 minutes. The WBBSE madhyamik result link will be made live at 9:45 am and marksheets and certificates will be made available to the schools from 10 am.

Over eight lakh students await WB Class 10 results today. Last year, as many as 6,98,628 students registered for the WB madhyamik exams. The number of students, however in 2022, was 10,98,775.

Students will have to use their roll number and date of birth to log in and check their results. To check and download the WB board results 2024 at education.indianexpress.com, students will first have to register with their contact number. 

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) had asked all head examiners of answer sheets of WB class 10 board examinations to submit marks online. The board said the move was aimed at complete the digitisation of the examination and evaluation process to ensure transparency and fairness.

The marks submission process for all subjects of Madhyamik Pariksha was done online, in addition to the existing method of submitting marks through OMR mark sheets. While the board had partially introduced online verification since last year, this is a step forward to streamline the submission procedure and enhance efficiency, he added.

WB Class 10 Result: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has proposed that secondary schools introduce a warm-up course for Class 10 students interested in pursuing the new Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cyber Security subjects in the higher secondary curriculum.

WBCHSE president Chiranjib Bhattacharya said this short-term course will serve as a basic warm-up for students considering subjects like Modern Computer Applications, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Cyber Security in higher secondary classes.

The WB Class 10 result will first announced in a press conference by the WBBSE president, ad-hoc committee at 9 am today. The link to check the results will be made available from 9:45 am. However, the schools will get the marksheets and certificates of the WB Madhyamik Class 10 exam results from respective camp offices of the board from 10 am. 

There are multiple official WB Class 10 result 2024 websites. These are wbresults.nic.in and wbbse.wb.gov.in. Students can also check their scores also at education.indianexpress.com.

A total of 118 students had scored ranks from 16 districts in 2023. 13.67 per cent of students have scored above 60 percent, last year. 

A total of 3,06,253 boys appeared for the exam in 2023.

A total of 3,76,068 girls appeared for the exam, last year.
