West Bengal NEET UG 2024 counselling: Registration is now open at wbmcc.nic.in for MBBS and BDS admissions (Express image/ representative)The Directorate of Medical Education, West Bengal, will commence the registration process for the NEET UG 2024 counselling today, August 21, 2024. Candidates who qualified in the NEET UG 2024 examination can now register for the state quota seats against the first round of counselling through the official website, wbmcc.nic.in, to secure admission to MBBS and BDS programmes in medical and dental colleges across the state. The registration process for round 1 will remain open until August 23, 2024.
The West Bengal NEET UG counselling process consists of four rounds: round 1, round 2, round 3, and a stray vacancy round. The counselling activities include registration, fee payment, document verification, choice filling and locking, seat allotment, and reporting to the allotted institute.

Candidates who have successfully registered and completed the document verification process will be able to fill their choices and lock them online from August 27 to August 29, 2024. The seat allotment result for the first round will be published on September 2, 2024. Shortlisted candidates must report to their allotted institutes from September 3 to September 5, 2024, to complete the admission process.
Following the conclusion of the first round, the second round of counselling will begin on September 11, 2024. Candidates are advised to keep a close watch on the official website for updates and ensure all required steps are completed within the given deadlines.
