The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced that nearly 59,500 candidates affected by technical glitches during the Selection Posts Phase-XIII Examination 2025, held between July 24 and August 2, will be given a re-examination on August 29. According to the official notification, the exam will be conducted in three shifts.

The Commission in its notice stated, “Regarding rescheduling of approximately 59,500 candidates of Selection Posts/Phase-XIII Examination-2025 on 29.08.2025, it is intimated that the city details for such candidates were made live on 22.08.2025.”

Adding further that such candidates can download their admit card w.e.f. 26.08.2025 by logging in through the designated login module on the website of the Commission at ssc.gov.in, 5 pm onwards. It further noted that candidates will also be informed through e-mail and SMS by the respective regional offices.

The admit cards for the rescheduled exam have already been made available, and candidates can access them through the candidate portal on the SSC website. The Commission advised that any issues related to admit cards should be taken up with the concerned Regional Offices.

SSC Chairman S. Gopalakrishnan, addressing a press briefing, said, “A detailed log analysis has been done and about 59,000 candidates have been identified for whom three special exam shifts have been scheduled on August 29, 2025.”

According to reports, he also confirmed that the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2025, originally scheduled for August 13, has been postponed to mid-September to ensure the technical issues are resolved. “The entities concerned, be it the ECA (exam conducting agency) or the content providers, are subject to strict service-level agreements and face deterrent penalties for any shortcomings in performance,” he added.

The announcements came a day after thousands of SSC aspirants and coaching teachers staged a protest at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan over repeated exam disruptions. The chairman clarified that the recent computer-based tests for stenographer posts, conducted from August 6 to 8, were completed without any major issues. He reassured candidates that disruptions would be addressed before the rescheduled CGL exam in September.
