The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on August 8 announced the exam dates for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2024 tier 1 examination. According to the notice released, the exam will be conducted from September 9 to September 26.

The SSC CGL recruitment process is being conducted to fill around 17,727 vacancies across various departments. The application process for the test started on June 24 and ended on July 27. The application process included filling in the candidates details, uploading required documents, and payment of the application fees. Candidates had a choice to pay the application fee online or offline as per the convenience.
SSC CGL 2024 is scheduled to be held in two tiers. The tier 1 will be conducted in September while tier 2 of SSC CGL exam will be conducted in the month of December.
Candidates who will be shortlisted will be assigned to Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ positions across different ministries, departments, organizations of the Government of India, and various constitutional, statutory bodies, and tribunals. The allocation of these positions will be based on the provisions outlined in the exam notice and will consider both merit and candidates’ preferences for specific posts.
The candidates must remember to qualify by August 1, 2024. Candidates who are in their final year of graduation can still apply but they must make sure to have completed their degree by August 1, 2024.
