State Wise School Winter Holiday 2025 List: Schools in Noida, Uttar Pradesh across board affiliations till Class 8 are ordered shut till further notice amid the cold weather conditions.
“In compliance with the instructions given by the District Magistrate, Gautam Buddh Nagar, in view of the dense fog and extreme cold, there will be a holiday in all the schools (classes from nursery to 8) recognized by all the boards (CBSE / ICSE / IB, UP Board and others) operating in the district with immediate effect till further orders. The said order should be strictly followed,” the order issued on Thursday said.
The schools in Haryana as well are closed for winter vacations till January 15. The Haryana schools will reopen on January 16.

In Punjab, too, the government on Tuesday extended winter break in all government, aided, recognised, and private schools until January 7. The schools in the state were scheduled to reopen on January 1.
Winter vacations for schools in Uttar Pradesh have not been announced yet. For Delhi, as per the academic calendar announced in March 2024, the winter vacation is from January 1 to 15, 2025.
