Punjab Board Class 12th Result 2023 Updates: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Wednesday released the board exam result for Class 12. Those who appeared for the Punjab Board Class 12 exams can check the detailed results at the official PSEB websites — pseb.ac.in and indiaresults.com from 8 am onwards today.
The pass percentage is 92.47% this year.
In 2022, a total of 3,01,700 appeared for their class 12 exams of which 2,92,530 passed. The overall pass percentage is 96.96 per cent. Like every year, all top three positions were bagged by girls, and had performed better than boys. A total of 1,37,161 girls appeared in the exam out which 1,34,182 have managed to pass meanwhile 1,64,529 boys appeared in the exam out of which 1,49,329 boys passed.
A year before that (in 2021), a total number of 2,92,683 students registered for PSEB class 12 board exams. The overall passing percentage recorded by the board was 96.48 per cent which is 3.71 per cent higher than in 2020.

The overall pass percentage for Class 10 has been recorded at 97.54%. This year, Gagandeep Kaur of Sant Mohan Das Memorial Sr Secondary School, Faridkot tops the state in Class 10 with 100 per cent marks (650 out of 650 marks). The second spot was bagged by Navjot Kaur securing 648 out of 650 marks (99.69 per cent). Harmandeep Kaur secured 646 marks out of 650 (99.38 per cent) bagging the third position.
The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) will declare Class 10 results at 11:30 am on Friday. The result time has not been confirmed by the board yet. Students who appeared for the exam can check their results at the official website— pseb.ac.in from May 27 onwards. Read more

Meanwhile, Navneet Singh, a student of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Patiala topped in the state in Science stream by securing 496 marks (99.2 percent), Simranjeet Kaur topped in the Commerce stream by securing Shaheed Sipahi Sandeep Singh Government Senior Secondary School, Pars Ram Nagar, Bathinda by securing 98.8 per cent marks. Speaking on subject-wise performance of the students, the Vice Chairman said that Commerce has a pass percentage of 98.30 while Humanities recorded a pass percentage of 90.62 per cent, Science has 98.68 percent and Vocational has 84.66 per cent. According to the Vice Chairman, Gurdaspur district has the highest 96.91 per cent pass percent in the state while Barnala has the lowest 80.47 per cent Urban areas recorded a pass percent of 92.90 percent while the rural areas, the pass percentage was 92.17 per cent. With 491 marks out of 500 or 98.2 per cent, Gurleen Kaur, daughter of a farmer, has topped Mohali in class 12th examination of Punjab School Education Board (PSEB).
Hailing from a small town Banur, Gurleen of Government Senior Secondary School said that she does not have a mobile phone and she aspires to become a doctor. Explaining her succes mantra, Gurleen said she “did not take any tuition and followed the daily routine suggested by the teachers”. Read more

This year there is a decline of around 3 percent in pass percentage than the previous year. In 2022, the board recorded an overall pass percentage of 95.99 per cent which dropped to 92.47% this year

Here's how students performed in all four streams last year

Science (Non-medical) stream result - 98.02%

In the PSEB result declared last year, three girls secured the same marks and topped the state board exams. Arshdeep Kaur of Ludhiana, Arshpreet Kaur of Mansa and Kulwinder Kaur of Faridkot are at top 3 positions. All three girls have secured 497 out of 500 with 99.40 percentage.
The PSEB result scorecard will likely be available from tomorrow. This online scorecard will act as a provisional marksheet. Original marksheet will be issued by the board later which the students can collect their respective schools.
