IIT Madras gets Rs 16.5 crore grant from Power Finance Corporation for anatomy lab

IIT Madras: The Institute which has already established a dry anatomy lab and now an advanced lab will provide students with hands-on experience in the field

Power Finance Corporation and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) have funded an anatomy laboratory at the Institute. The facility established at the Department of Medical Sciences and Technology is funded with a grant of Rs 16.5 crore.

In its press release, the Madras-based Institute highlighted some of the facilities of the anatomy lab. As per the release, the lab consists of advanced technology for effective teaching and learning, specifically for the innovative BS degree programme in Medical Sciences and Engineering.

Highlighting the impact of the facility professor V Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, said, “This world-class anatomy lab, made possible by Power Finance Corporation, marks a step forward in medical education at IIT Madras. By integrating advanced technology with medical sciences, we are creating a unique platform for innovation that will propel the future of healthcare.”
