CUET PG City Slip (OUT) Updates: City slip released at pgcuet.samarth.ac.in

The CUET PG 2024 will be held from March 11. The admit cards will be released shortly, NTA said while releasing the CUET PG city slips.

No, the CUET PG city slip and admit card are not same. While CUET PG admit card will allow entry to the exam hall and will contain roll number and other details, CUET PG city slip will only have the exam city mentioned on it.

To download the CUET PG city slip 2024, the candidates will have to use their application number and password. The official website to download the CUET PG 2024 exam city slip is pgcuet.samarth.ac.in.

The CUET PG city slip is out at pgcuet.samarth.ac.in. The CUET PG city slip is issued only for the exams set to be conducted between March 11 and 15.

Step 4: The city intimation slip will be displayed on the screen.

CUET PG 2024 will be conducted for 157 subjects for 4,62,589 unique registered candidates.

The exam city intimation slip mentions the exam city to facilitate the students in making travel plans, while the admit card will mention the exact location of the exam centre, date and time of the exam.

The CUET PG 2024 exams are scheduled to be held from March 11 to 28.

Candidates have to login through their application numbers and dates of birth to check their city slip.

The name of test centre will be mentioned on the admit card, while the city slip will only state the exam city.

The marking scheme is as follows:

(i) Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Four marks (+4)
(ii) Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
(iii) Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).
(iv) If more than one option is found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
(v) If all options are found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
(vi) If none of the options is found correct or a Question is found to be wrong or a Question is dropped then all candidates who have appeared will be given four marks (+4). 

During the course of, before, or after the examination if a candidate indulges in any of the above or similar practices, he/she shall be deemed to have used unfair practices and booked under UNFAIR MEANS (U.F.M.) case. The candidate could be debarred for 3 years in the future and shall also be liable for criminal action and /or any other action as deemed fit.

The entry and exit timings of each candidate will be accoridng to the shift timings, that will be allotted to them in the admit card. The shift timings and schedule is as follows:

Choice of test centre cities will be limited to the state of permanent address or present address only. 

As per the office memorandum of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (Reference: F.No. 34-02/2015-DD-III dated August 29, 2018), the PwD candidates who are visually impaired or have a disability in the upper limbs or have lost fingers/hands thereby preventing them from properly operating the Computer Based Test platform may avail the services of a scribe (amanuensis). 

The scribe will help the Candidate in reading the questions and/or keying in the answers as per the directions of the Candidate. A scribe will neither explain the questions nor suggest any solutions

In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates irrespective of the fact who have attempted it or not.

Last year, the exams were rescheduled from June 22 to 30 for students who could not be accommodated from June 5 to 17. 

The marking scheme is as follows:

i) Each question carries 04 (four) marks.
ii) For each correct response, candidate will get 04 (four) marks.
iii) For each incorrect response, 01 (one) mark will be deducted from the total score.
iv) Un-answered/un-attempted response will be given no marks.
v) To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as correct option.

Candidates are not allowed to carry instruments, geometry or pencil box, handbag, purse, any kind of paper/ stationery/ textual material (printed or written material), eatables and water (loose or packed), mobile phone/ earphone/ microphone/ pager, calculator, docupen, slide rules, log tables, camera, tape recorder, electronic watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the examination hall/room.

In 2023, a total of 2,09,740 male (unique) candidates, 2,49,332 female (unique) candidates and 11 transgender (unique) candidates registered for the exam.  This time, out of the 462586 total registrations, 247990 are female candidates, 214587 are male candidates and nine registrations have been done under the third gender category.

In 2022, a total of six students have achieved 100 percentile — Nakul Kumar Vaish (PGQP01-B.Ed), Akash Patel (PGQP01-B.Ed), Sumit Joshi (PGQP20-Social Work), Neeraj Godara (PGQP20-Social Work), Mayank Kumar Mishra [PGQP38-General (MBA etc)] and Mohit [PGQP38-General (MBA etc)].

Choice of exam cities displayed to the candidates will be based on the permanent and correspondence addresses filled during online application form of CUET PG 2024.

No, the registration fee that you submitted at the time of filling the application form is the final amount that has to be paid. No other amount has to be paid for CUET PG 2024. The exam fee this year is as follows:

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been assigned the task of conducting the Central University Entrance Test (CUET) for Post Graduate (PG) programmes for 2022.

While the CUET PG exam was not compulsory for all central or state universities of the country, a total of 66 universities (including 27 central universities) participated in the exam in the first year, which increased to 142 in the second year of the exam (2023). The number has now increased to 186 now, as per the list available on the NTA website.

In the 2023 exam, a total of 563 questions were dropped from the final answer key.

Last year, a total 8,76,908 candidates registered for the exam and over 4 lakh unique candidates registered. The exam was conducted in 295 cities across India and 24 cities abroad.

Candidates will get entry in the exam centre 30 minutes before the commencement of exam. After the entry, the candidates will have 20 minutes to enter the exam hall and complete the process of biometric registration, record of manual attendance by invigilator, cross-checking of admit card, signature, photo match to be completed by invigilator and exam instructions by invigilator. 10 minutes before the commencement of exam, candidates need to log in and read the instructions.

As per the CUET PG dates, the hall ticket will be released on March 7.

The NTA has not yet announced the CUET PG city slip release time. The CUET PG 2024 city slip will be made available today. The CUET PG city intimation slips will have details of the exam cities and the date of exams.

CUET PG will be held from March 11 to 28. The CUET PG 2024 will be conducted for 157 subjects for 4,62,589 unique registered candidates.

As soon as the CUET PG 2024 city slip is released, candidates who registered for the exam will be able to download the exam city slip from pgcuet.samarth.ac.in.

NTA has added two new test cities for CUET PG 2024. The new test cities are Gurugram in Haryana and Srinagar.

“Requests have been received from candidates and other stakeholders to add more test cities for convenience of the candidates. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to add 02 more Cities as Examination Centre for CUET (PG) – 2024,” the official NTA notification stated.

Earlier, the NTA had reduced the number of exam city centres for the CUET PG 2024 examination from 337 in 2023 to 300 in India. The total number of exam centre cities including the centres outside India is 324.

List of items not allowed inside exam centre:

List of items candidates will be allowed to carry only the following items into the exam venue

— Admit card (a clear print-out on A4 size paper)
— A simple transparent ball point pen
— Additional photograph (same as uploaded on application form) to be pasted on attendance sheet
— Authorised photo ID (must be original, valid and non-expired— school ID, PAN card, driving licence, voter ID, passport, aadhaar card with photograph, e-aadhaar card with photograph, ration card with photograph, Class 12 board admit card with photograph, bank passbook with photograph)
— PwBD certificate issued by authorised medical officer
— Transparent water bottle

The NTA has reduced the number of exam city centres for the CUET PG 2024 examination from 337 in 2023 to 300 in India. The total number of exam centre cities including the centres outside India is 324. Candidates will be able to select two cities of their choice on the basis of their permanent address or present address.

Candidates taking CUET PG 2024 exam will have to answer 75 multiple choice questions (MCQs). Till last year, the total number of questions in CUET PG was 100.

The CUET PG exam duration which was earlier 120 minutes has now been reduced to 105 minutes. The CUET PG exam in 2024 will be held in three shifts. The first shift will be held from 9 am to 10:45 am, the second and third shifts will be conducted from 12:45 pm to 2:30 pm and between 4:30 pm and 6:15 pm.

This time, candidates will be able to choose a maximum of four test paper codes in all. The candidate can choose a General paper as a subject as unlike previous years, there would be no general test with each paper. The comprehension part of these two General papers would be in English or Hindi as chosen by the candidate during registration.

The NTA has increased the registration fees for all categories by Rs 200 compared to last year. Candidates belonging to the general category will have to pay Rs 1,200 and those under OBC-NCL/Gen-EWS will have to pay Rs 1,000. Candidates had to pay Rs 500 for additional test papers last year. However, this year they will have to pay Rs 600 for each extra test paper they wish to appear.

Applicants outside India applying for upto two tests will have to pay Rs 6,000 and Rs 2,000 for additional papers. Earlier, it was Rs 5,000 and Rs 1,500 respectively.

CUET PG is scheduled to be conducted from March 11, 2024 to March 28, 2024. 

In terms of state-wise registration, Uttar Pradesh topped the list with a total of 99,717 registrations, followed by Delhi which saw 65,275 registrations, Kerala with 30,462, Bihar with 28,181 registrations and Odisha with 20,873 registrations.

Total number of female registrations is higher than male registrations, similar to last year’s trend. This time, out of the 462586 total registrations, 247990 are female candidates, 214587 are male candidates and nine registrations have been done under the third gender category.

The number of female candidates in 2022 was 249332, which was higher than the 209740 male candidates and 11 candidates from the third gender category. The same trend was not seen in the first year of the CUET PG, though, when the total number of male candidates (305478) was slightly higher than the total number of female registrations (302155).

A total of 4.6 lakh students have registered for CUET PG 2024 which is a slight increase from last year’s 4.5 lakh registrations but a decline from its first year when over 6 lakh students had registered for the postgraduate entrance exam — of which 3.57 lakh were unique candidates.

The CUET PG 2024 advanced city intimation slip will be released on March 4.

CUET PG 2024 will be held in three shifts — the first shift will be conducted from 9 am till 10:45 am, second shift will be held from 12:45 pm to 2:30 pm, and the third shift will be from 4:30 pm till 6:15 pm. Each shift will be for 105 minutes duration.
