NEET UG 2025 Application Live Updates: Why concept clarity matters more than memorising
--When concepts are clear, you can tackle questions faster and with self-confidence
--NEET is the type of competitive exam that checks your in-depth understanding and not just memorising ability. Questions in NEET will be mostly based on how different concepts are combined in order to get an appropriate solution or require application-based thinking.
-- NEET UG is only the starting point towards becoming a doctor. If you just rely on memorisation now, then you would face difficulty in a medical school since you have to rely more on conceptual understanding. In anatomy, physiology and pharmacology, you will have to apply what you learn with reasoning.
-- In NEET UG, many questions interlink topics from different subjects.

NEET UG 2025 Application Live Updates: Will solving daily practice problems and previous year questions be enough?
Daily practice problems (DPP) help test the knowledge and understanding of the concept you gain. Solving problems daily makes you reinforce what you’ve theoretically gained and ensures you master the basics well. NEET UG is very tricky and application-based in questions. Hence, practicing a range of problems sharpens problem-solving skills and boosts your confidence.
Though daily practice problems don’t help much unless done with in-depth concepts. NEET is not only a memory game but tests your analytical acumen too. While one needs to practice regularly, the regular practice has to be combined with conceptual clarity.

NEET UG 2025 Application Live Updates: Will implement recommendations of expert panel on NEET UG exam: Centre to SC
The Centre told the Supreme Court that it would be implementing all the corrective measures suggested by its seven-member expert panel on exam reforms after reviewing the National Testing Agency’s functioning in holding NEET-UG last year.
The top court on August 2, last year refused to annul the controversy-ridden NEET-UG of 2024, saying there was no sufficient material on record at present to indicate a systemic leak or malpractice compromising the integrity of the examination.
It had also expanded the remit of the seven-member expert panel, headed by former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chief K Radhakrishnan, to review the functioning of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and recommend exam reforms to make the NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate), transparent and free from malpractices.
On Thursday, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the Centre, apprised a bench comprising justices PS Narasimha and Manoj Misra that the Centre-appointed committee has filed its report and the government will be implementing all the recommendations.

NEET UG 2025 Application Live Updates: Why Govt refused to hold NEET UG 2025 online despite paper leak controversy
* NEET-UG is the largest national entrance examination in the country. Last year, about 24 lakh candidates applied for the test, with a significant number appearing from rural areas. This year, sources said, authorities anticipate anywhere between 28 lakh to 30 lakh aspirants will take the exam. Switching from pen-and-paper mode to a computer-based test so quickly for an examination of NEET’s scale would prove to be a logistical nightmare for officials.
** The second factor behind maintaining pen-and-paper format was what had kept NEET-UG from going digital even as other major entrance tests moved to computer-based testing — its large rural student base. Although the government hasn’t in the past disclosed what proportion of NEET-UG aspirants hail from rural areas, health ministry officials often claim it’s a significant number.

No, NEET UG 2025 will be held in pen and paper mode. Logistics was a big reason why the government preferred to maintain the status quo. While an online exam would limit the number of hands the question paper passes through, the NTA cannot afford to repeat the embarrassing experience of the first Central University Entrance Test (CUET), which saw technical glitches (on account of ill-prepared test centres) forcing cancellation of examination at the last minute on multiple days.
