The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) phase 2 exam today. About 4.7 lakh registered to appear for the examination at various centres across the nation.
Students found the NEET II paper tougher than NEET I. Ashish Jhajharia, a student from Rajasthan who cancelled his NEET I exam score to appear for NEET II, said, “the Chemistry paper was tough, although the physics and biology papers were as before. I got a score of 635 on NEET I. On NEET II, I’m expecting a score of 600,” he said.

PHYSICS
Physics NEET (Phase-II) is calculative. Concepts are tough and calculations are lengthy. About 22 questions from class 11 and 23 from class 12. Question paper is at tough side. All concepts are not from NCERT level.
CHEMISTRY
The questions of Chemistry in NEET (Phase-II) is more standard than the NEET-I (2016). Some questions are out of the syllabus and beyond the scope of the NCERT books. Numerals are formula based and easy. One question has two options correct (Code-AA, Q.67). Entire syllabus was not covered and it missed some of chapter like Chemistry in Everyday Life, Environmental Chemistry etc.
BIOLOGY
In biology, the paper was of standard type. It covered the class 11 and class 12 in a balanced manner. All the important chapter were covered. The questions were mix of simple; average type and also, the difficult type. Some of the questions were beyond the NCERT (restriction endonucleare making blunts end cut). It must have been perceived well among the student who had prepared well for it.
NEET is conducted to shortlist candidates for undergraduate medical and dental courses.
The Lok Sabha on July 19 passed a bill mandating the conduct of a single common exam for medical and dental courses. The new measure will also cover private colleges.

The Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Bill, 2016, and The Dentists (Amendment) Bill, 2016, provides Constitutional status to the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) examination, which will be introduced from the next academic session.
NEET I has held on May 1 and about 6.67 lakh students appeared for the exam. Most students found Biology easy in comparison to Physics.
