The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) is a tough exam to crack, in terms of the level of difficulty of questions as well as in terms of the huge competition. While aspirants are already fighting tooth and nail by leaving no stone unturned in preparation, it is also important to ensure that you are aware about the marking scheme, past cut-off scores, and the names of the top-ranked medical institutes identified by NIRF.

Check the list here:

Marking scheme

In NEET UG 2024, the total marks stand at 720 and the duration of the test is 200 minutes. The test comprises four subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. Each subject consists of two sections: Section A, with 35 questions, and Section B, with 15 questions. Out of the 15 questions in Section B, you have to attempt any 10.

However, it’s vital to remember that correct options marked will earn you 4 marks, while incorrect options marked will result in a deduction of 1 mark. Unattempted questions will neither gain nor cost you any marks. Therefore, you have 200 precious minutes to solve 180 questions and fill the OMR bubbles without making an error to secure the perfect score.
