Ministry of Women and Child Development offers paid internships to girls, scholars, social activists, teachers

The duration of the internship is one month and two months separately throughout the year. The intern can choose any one duration out of the two while submitting their applications.

The Ministry of Women and Child Development is inviting applications from women students, scholars, social activists and teachers from non tier-1 cities. Through this programme, Ministry aims to tap the talent of the interns, giving them the opportunity to work for the implementation of schemes as also deliberate on its policies through different assignments.

The duration of the internship is one month and two months separately throughout the year. The intern can choose any one duration out of the two while submitting their applications. The ministry would take upto 10 interns per batch.

Eligibility Criteria

Only women students, scholars, social activists, and teachers can apply.

The applicants should be from non tier-one cities.

Interested candidates should be enrolled or associated with any university, academic or a non-academic institution.

How to apply

The applicants are required to submit their applications online at the official website — wcd.intern.nic.in.

Applications should be submitted between the first and tenth of every month.

Interns can choose their month of doing the internship.

Applications will be accepted upto six months in advance.

Age limit

The applicant should be between 21 and 40 years of age.

Incentives

Each intern would get an amount of Rs 20,000 per month and reimbursement of travel cost for joining the ministry and back home after the completion of the internship.

Interns would be provided hostel facilities, logistic support, internet facility in the ministry.

Candidates should note that in case of non-compliance and non-performance, the Ministry would have the right to terminate the internship programme by issuing a notice to concerned intern to this effect.
