The pass percentage of SSC students is 93.83%. The overall percentage of Maharashtra has dropped by 3.18 per cent. “The pass percentage has dropped by 3.18 per cent as against last year. In comparison with the pass percentage of academic year 2019-20, which was pre-pandemic; there is a drop of 1.47 per cent,” said Sharad Gosavi, Chairperson of Maharashtra State Board.
He further informed that the decline in the SSC result is consistent and the decline is seen in the pass percentage almost across all the board exams at the state and national level.
“Many factors may have played a role in this, most saliently the impact of the lockdown on the learning abilities of the students, the effective copy-free campaign that we conducted in the state, the lenient conditions that were temporarily brought during the board exams in pandemic years. The results vary from batch to batch and the difficulty level of the question papers also affects the passing percentage,” said Gosavi.
