The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has released the SSLC and Secondary PUC final schedules for the academic session 2024-25. Candidates can download the schedule from the official website. The examination for SSLC will be held from March 21 and April 4. The PUC 2 annual exams will be held between March 1 and March 20.
Extra time will be given to differently abled children: 60 minutes for 3 hours of question paper, 50 minutes for 2 hours 30 minutes of question paper, 40 minutes for 2 hours of question paper, and 30 minutes for the 1-hour 30-minute question paper.
The examination for the SSLC 1st languages, core subjects & JTS subjects will be conducted from 10 am to 1: 15 pm and 2nd and 3rd languages will be conducted from 10 am to 1:00 pm.
For NSQF subjects, the SSLC examination will be conducted from 10: 00 am to 12: 15 pm. For NSQF students 2 hours is allotted for writing the exam and 15 minutes for reading the question paper.
Meanwhile, last year a total of 1,49,824 students registered for the 2nd PUC term II exams, out of which 1,48,942 appeared for the exam and 52,505 passed. The pass percentage has been recorded at 35.25 per cent.
A total of 84,632 boys and 64,310 girls appeared for its Karnataka PUC term 2 exam. Of them, boys got 26,496 taking their pass percentage at 31.31 while girls performed better scoring 35.25% (26,009).
While in the case of SSLC, a total of 8.9 lakh students had registered the Karnataka Board matric exam including 4.5 lakh boys and 4.3 lakh girls. The overall pass percentage was 73.40 per cent, which was a decline from 2023 83.89 per cent and 2022’s 85.13 per cent. This was also a decline from the pre-pandemic years (2019) when the pass percentage was 73.70 per cent.
