Kerala board Class 10, 12 exam dates announced (Express photo/ representative)The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination in Kerala will be held from March 5 to 30, 2026, General Education Minister V Sivankutty announced on Wednesday. The Higher Secondary – plus one and plus two, and vocational higher secondary examinations will also be held in March. The Kerala board first-year exams are scheduled from March 5 to 27, 2026, and the Kerala HSE second-year exams from March 6 to 28, 2026.
Meanwhile, the evaluation of the SSLC Class 10 Kerala board answer sheets will take place between April 7 and 25, and results are expected to be declared on May 8, he said. The evaluation for the higher secondary Class 11 and Class 12 exams will begin on April 6, with results expected by May 22, 2026.
A total of 4.25 lakh students will appear for the SSLC 2026 exam across 3,000 centres, including seven in the Gulf region and nine in Lakshadweep. Around nine lakh students are set to appear for the Kerala board plus 1 and plus 2 examinations, the minister added.
The Kerala SSLC IT model examinations will be conducted from January 12 to 22 and the IT exams will be held from February 2 to 13. The SSLC model exams are scheduled from February 16 to 20. Applications for the SSLC exams can be submitted between November 12 and 19, while late applications with a fine will be accepted from November 21 to 26.
The Kerala board second-year practical examinations will commence on January 22. Model exams for both first and second year exams will be held from February 16 to 26. Students can submit the examination application fee until November 7.
Last year, the SSLC Kerala board exams began from March 4, and HSE board exams began on March 1.
