JEE Advanced Result 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur today announced the results and toppers for the JEE Advanced. Candidates who appeared in the examination can check their respective results and final answer keys through the official website at jeeadv.ac.in. The JEE Advanced 2025 exam was held on May 18 in a computer-based test (CBT) format.

Rajit Gupta from the IIT Delhi zone has secured all India rank (AIR) 1. He has scored 332 marks out of 360. He scored a 100 percentile in JEE Main for both sessions 1 and 2.

In the previous session exam, Ved Lahoti emerged as the JEE Advanced topper with a record score of 355 out of 360Here is the list of toppers: 

CRL 1: Rajit Gupta – Secured AIR 1 in JEE Advanced 2025 with 332 marks and aims to pursue Computer Science at IIT Bombay.

CRL 2: Saksham Jindal – A former district-level cricketer, he ranked AIR 2 and plans to study Computer Science at IIT Bombay.

CRL 3: Majid Mujahid Husain – From Madhya Pradesh, he secured AIR 3 and credits his disciplined study routine for his success.

CRL 4: Parth Mandar Vartak – Achieved AIR 4 and is looking forward to joining IIT Bombay for Computer Science Engineering.

CRL 5: Ujjwal Kesari – Ranked AIR 5 but prefers studying BSc Physics at IISc Bangalore over IIT Bombay.

CRL 6: Akshat Kumar Chaurasia – Secured AIR 6 in JEE Advanced 2025, demonstrating strong academic excellence.

CRL 7: Sahil Mukesh Deo – From Nashik, he ranked AIR 7 and relocated to Mumbai for better JEE preparation.

CRL 8: Devesh Pankaj Bhaiya – Achieved AIR 8, showcasing his dedication and perseverance in JEE Advanced.

CRL 9: Arnav Singh – Secured AIR 9 and aims to pursue Computer Science at IIT Bombay.

CRL 10: Vadlamudi Lokesh – Ranked AIR 10, completing the list of top achievers in JEE Advanced 2025.

Speaking with AIR 1 Rajit Gupta, he said that he did not follow a strict schedule for the preparation as he felt an unduly pressure on him. So I used to read only when I felt like it, but whatever time I used to read, I used to read well. I focused on not repeating mistakes and tried to stay happy during the preparation. I sometimes used to play with children, as it would refresh my mind also. ”

Speaking with AIR 2, Saksham Jindal, “Preparing for a competitive exam like JEE is certainly challenging, but when combined with dedication, clear objectives and strong guidance, no goal is impossible. I wanted to make my career in Cricket, but due to Covid, I stopped the practice and started to focus on studies.” Both the toppers took guidance from Allen Career Institute, Kota.

Criteria for the Common Rank List (CRL)

To be included in the Common Rank List (CRL), candidates must meet both the subject-wise and overall qualifying marks. The aggregate score will be calculated by adding the marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

The maximum possible aggregate score is 360, with 180 marks allotted for each of Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each subject—Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry—has a maximum of 120 marks, with 60 marks allocated for each paper in every subject. Candidates need to satisfy the qualifying marks for each subject as well as the total to be considered for a rank.

Maximum aggregate marks: 360 (180 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)

Maximum marks in Mathematics: 120 (60 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)

Maximum marks in Physics: 120 (60 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)

Maximum marks in Chemistry: 120 (60 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)

JEE Advanced Results 2025: What next?

Qualified candidates will now proceed with the Joint Seat Allocation (JoSAA) 2025 counselling process to secure admissions in institutes, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other government-funded technical institutes (GFTIs). The registration and choice-filling process for academic programs under JoSAA will commence on June 3, 2025.
