IIT-Bombay begins 28th edition of Techfest

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has started the 28th edition of Techfest, one of Asia’s largest science and technology festivals. This year’s festival theme is Sustainnovative Sentience, which will see various events, exhibitions, lectures, and competitions and inspire attendees from across the globe.

The IIT Bombay festival started on December 17 and will conclude on December 19. Day one of the festival saw an inaugural ceremony, a lecture by Jeet Adani, director of Adani Airport Holdings Limited, an event of international Robowars, Unitree G1 Humanoid Robot Exhibition, Techfest Gamers League, and various cultural performances.

The international Robowars event will feature intense battles between high-tech robots. Qualifiers and finals for the 8 kg, 60 kg, 30 kg, and 15 kg bots will showcase engineering prowess and strategic combat.

Day two of the Techfest will start with a lecture from Dr Velumani Arokiaswamy (who is the creator of Thyrocare) followed by the Unitree G1 Humanoid Robot Exhibition, Robowars Finals, Techfest Gamers League, and Technoholix.

The concluding day will have a lecture from A Rajarajan and other programmes like a grand finale of competitions like Blixathon, Market Buzz, and Qualcomm VisionX among others, international exhibitions, tech talks and summits, along with Techfest Gamers League and Drone Show and Technoholix.
