(Image: ICSI)The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) on Sunday appointed Dhananjay Shukla as the president and Pawan G Chandak as the vice president for this year.
Shukla is a commerce and law graduate. He is a fellow of ICSI and is a practising company secretary in Gurugram. As mentioned in the press release, Shukla has also expertise in the areas of corporate law, securities law and taxation.
Dhananjay has also served as the vice president of the ICSI for the year 2024. With an experience of more than 20 years, he has helped various start-up ventures to be set up in India by foreign promoters.
While Pawan G Chandak who is appointed as the vice president is a company secretary with a specialisation in labour laws and labour welfare. Before electing to this position, he was also elected to the Western India Regional Council (WIRC) of ICSI for the term 2019-2022 and served as Secretary of the Region in 2019.
Before that, he served as the Chairman of the Pune Chapter of WIRC of ICSI in 2012 and 2017.
