ICAR UG Counselling (CUET ICAR-UG) 2025: The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has commenced the online choice-filling process for admission to undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and PhD programmes in Agriculture and allied sciences for the academic session 2025-26. Candidates can now begin their registration and document upload process on the official website at icarcounseling.com.
According to the schedule released, the counselling will be conducted in four rounds, with first seat allotment results on October 21, and an additional mop-up and final round, with the entire process concluding on November 14. Here’s a detailed complete schedule for ICAR UG Counselling 2025.

The ICAR counselling process is already delayed by over two months. The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducted the entrance test for eligibility to admission to UG, PG, and PhD programmes in Agriculture and allied sciences, declared the CUET UG results on July 4. Initially, the Council said it would start the online choice-filling for UG counselling 2025 from October 6, but also said that the process, however, was subject to the completion of bank payment gateway integration.
ICAR will fill 20 per cent of the All India Quota (AIQ) seats across 63 state agricultural universities and 100 per cent of the seats in central agricultural universities including in RLBCAU Jhansi, RPCAU Samastipur, NDRI Karnal and the IARI campuses in Jharkhand and Assam. The quota also extends to four central universities — BHU (15%), AMU (5%), Visva-Bharati (15%) and Nagaland University (20%).
For the current admission cycle, 6,002 AIQ seats have been listed, with the BSc (Hons) Agriculture programme offering the most seats (3,121) and Sericulture having the fewest (22). Last year, ICAR opened its counselling registration on August 7, just ten days after the CUET UG 2024 results were announced on July 28, to fill 5,842 AIQ seats.
