IAT 2024: IISER Aptitude Test application process closing today, exam on June 9

This time only IAT 2024 scores will be considered for admissions to IISERs, an institute statement said.

As per the IAT 2024 eligibility criteria, students qualifying Class 12 or equivalent examination in the science stream in 2022, 2023, or 2024, with a minimum of 60 per cent marks will be eligible to apply. For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Person with Disability (PwD) categories, the minimum score requirement is 55 per cent to apply for IAT 2024.

IAT 2024: Application steps

Step 1: Visit the IISER admissions 2024 website – iiseradmission.in/

Step 2: On the homepage, go to the ‘Apply for IAT-2024’

Step 3: On the next page, register to receive a User ID and Password

Step 4: After successful registration, complete the IAT 2024 application form by uploading the necessary documents and paying the fee

Candidates must provide all details correctly and carefully as some details cannot be changed once the application form is submitted. The application correction window to edit certain details will open on May 16. 

IAT 2024 exam pattern

IAT 2024 will be conducted as a computer-based test at multiple centers throughout India. This aptitude test will comprise 60 questions, with 15 questions allocated to each subject area – biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics. All questions will be of the multiple-choice type, with only one correct answer per question. The exam will be of three hours’ duration. While marking a correct answer will fetch the candidates a four marks, incorrect answers will lead to a negative mark of one. The total marks for IAT 2024 is 240.
